The Q-Datacenter software suite offers a flexible and comprehensive solution to visualize and manage the physical world of your datacenter. Gain control over your datacenter with the ability to display always up-to-date rack layouts, know at all times where your valuable assets in the datacenter are and keep track of changes made to configuration items in your datacenter.
With Q-Datacenter you can schedule activities in the datacenter in advance and receive these work orders on a hand held device. Through the use of a barcode-scanning enabled hand held in the datacenter, configuration items are easily identified thus making mistakes during the execution of activities nearly impossible.

Multiple work orders can be grouped into projects. ReportingQ-ITRoom allows you to report on floor, rack and configuration item level. Report the total weight and power consumption of your datacenter, drill down to a rack or even a single configuration item. |
Physical floor and rack layoutsQ-ITRoom displays the physical floor layout of your datacenter. By clicking on a rack, the exact content of that rack is displayed, allowing you to drill down to individual configuration items displaying all relevant information including cable connections of the selected configuration item. Key features Q-Datacenter Mobile
Q-Datacenter Mobile is a PDA application allowing engineers to receive and execute scheduled work orders. Changes made to configuration items are stored locally on the PDA and are synchronized to the central database whenever the status of a work order changes, enabling Q-Datacenter Mobile to work on- as well as offline.
Execute scheduled work orders
Scheduled work orders containing detailed information are received on Q-Datacenter Mobile. The progress of work orders can be monitored on the graphical scheduler and the use of barcodes minimizes possible errors. While excecuting a work order, the location of the involved configuration item is shown; notes and time used can also be recorded.
Scan and Audit configuration items in the datacenter
With one barcode scan in the datacenter, all relevant information of a configuration item can be displayed on Q-Datacenter Mobile, including but not limited to:
- CI Type, serial number
- IP Addresses
- Location (visually and text)
With the audit function, locations of configuration items and cable connections can be modified on the fly.
Q-Datacenter integration
A standard set of web services allows for easy integration with existing datacenter management software, thus bridging the gap between the logical and the physical world. For instance alerting events from a datacenter management program can easily result in an actual work order being created and scheduled in Q-Datacenter.
